V for… Train Tracks(!?) by Michael Jackobo

The track junction of a train line creates the letter “V”, with which I make the word play in the title. The abandoned railroad stations are very interesting photographic subjects as they contain many different elements that a photographer may use as subjects in his images.
Train tracks are one of the most heavily photographed themes, not only because of the geometric lines but also because of the travel symbolism they contain. In this case, I chose to concentrate on the track junction and the “V” shape that is created in the contact point, keeping a shallow depth of field so as to prevent the background from drawing attention; something which is also assisted by the overexposure of the image.
I gave it the title “V for… Train Tracks(!?)” to give a surrealistic tone in an already abstract image.

V for… Train Tracks(!?)

Τον τίτλο «V for… Train Tracks(!?)»
