Life in Concrete and Metal by Michael Jackobo

A small plant that sprouted through a concrete wall. A sample of life in concrete and metal. I believe that the photo says many things on its own and the text is unnecessary because it cannot give something more to the interpretation. It is always impressive to see plants that have come out amongst such conditions and surely someone with a bigger talent in writing could say more things and expand on the allegory of the image. This is a photographic blog though and not about philosophy or poetry, therefore it is important to allow the images and the imagination of the viewer tell the story and not the ravings of the creator. The title “Life in Concrete and Metal” is enough on its own to describe the meaning I want to convey through the image.

  1. Amazing where life can continue to thrive.
Just today, I Instagramed a photo of a rose. If you know about Canada, it is supposed to be too cold right now for plants to grow. This rose lives on in spite of it all. 🙂

    • Yes, it is fascinating how nature can adapt itself and try to take over the things we make to separate ourselves from it.
