Taking Pictures by Michael Jackobo
A photographer taking pictures of a woman an a pier. Personally, photographers are one of my favorite and easiest subjects; they are sure to stand still for at least five seconds. Although this may seem like a very small space in time, it is more than enough for someone like me -and other street photographers- to think about framing, focusing and the other parameters of the shot. Of course, one can only do so much when he has to take a picture from the place he is standing but once in a while the conditions will be perfect and the picture will have some story to tell.
This photo is an example of a case where everything is right. I was standing on the pier, when I saw right in front of me this man taking pictures of the woman. He spent so much time in just one shot that I had the chance to take two shots; one standing and the second (this one) kneeling. Particularly interesting is the pose of the woman and I think it adds something more to the image.

Φωτογράφιση
Ένας φωτογράφος τραβάει φωτογραφίες μιας γυναίκας σε μια προβλήτα. Προσωπικά, οι φωτογράφοι είναι ένα από τα αγαπημένα μου και τα πιο εύκολα θέματα γιατί είναι σίγουρο ότι θα κάτσουν ακίνητοι για τουλάχιστον πέντε δευτερόλεπτα. Αυτό το χρονικό διάστημα μπορεί να φαίνεται μικρό αλλά για μένα -και άλλους φωτογράφους δρόμου- είναι αρκετό για να σκεφτώ το κάδρο, την εστίαση και τις άλλες παραμέτρους της λήψης. Βέβαια δεν μπορεί κανείς να περιμένει πολλά πράγματα όταν πρέπει να τραβήξει τη φωτογραφία από το σημείο που στέκεται. Μερικές φορές όμως οι συνθήκες θα είναι τέλειε και η εικόνα θα έχει μια ιστορία να πει.
Αυτή η λήψη είναι ένα παράδειγμα μιας περίπτωσης όπου όλα ήταν σωστά. Στεκόμουν στην προβλήτα όταν είδα ακριβώς μπροστά μου τον άντρα να φωτογραφίζει τη γυναίκα. Έκανε τόση ώρα σε κάθε λήψη που μπόρεσα να τραβήξω δύο φωτογραφίες˙ την πρώτη όρθιος και τη δεύτερη (αυτήν εδώ) γονατιστός. Ιδιαίτερα ενδιαφέρουσα βρίσκω την πόζα της γυναίκας και νομίζω ότι δίνει κάτι παραπάνω στην εικόνα.
Αυτή είναι η φωτογραφία που δημοσιεύω σήμερα, ελπίζω να αρέσει.
