Modern Sculpture by Michael Jackobo

Detail of a sculpture in the Glyptotheque (Sculpture Gallery) of the National Gallery of Greece, with two people standing next to another exhibit. The sculpture in focus on the right is titled “”Apotheosis” and is created by Michael Lekakis, while the creation next to the people is titled “Ladders” by Achilleas Aperghis. A similar work -on a much larger scale- is placed next to the tram station of Trokantero.
The visit to the Glyptotheque was a part of a seminar I am attending, which includes visits to museums, performances and other art related events. After we talked about the exhibits, we studied them while exchanging opinions with each other; of course I was ready to take advantage of any photographic opportunities I would find. This is one of the photos I took that day, using two of the exhibited works and the visitors of the gallery.
